TARGET AUDIENCE
The music magazine I am constructing is an hybrid genre in this case alternative, electro dance, Therfore my magazine will be niche and have a smaller fan base than products such as Kerrang! or Q.
THE CONVENTIONS OF MY MAGAZINE
The misenscene present through my magazine will involve bright colours and and a stereotypical 80s fashion, iconic to the genre of my magazine the use of florencant glow sticks and neon lights will help the versimilitude.
THE NAMES
Future shock, neon, strobe beam
later on having feedback from other class members deciding on FUTURE SHOCK
having this as my masthead i feel it compliments my genre as the music i am promoting is in many ways alternative and stands on its own as a specific style. I also feel "FUTURE" dennotes my magazine is fresh this helps as the music itself of alternative, electro dance is failry new to the industry.
AGE RANGE
The people likely to read me magazine would be young adults possibly ranging from around 16 to in their mid twenties these should be people who are aware of the distinctive fashion of flurocent contrasting colours and enjoy hard partying. When constructing my magazine these will be factors I keep in mind having my house theme relating back to these aspects.

Their are two different catogories inwhich music magazines fall into, these consist of Niche or Mainstream.
A Niche product is a more of a specific genre of music and its audience is narrowed down to just one fan base this meaning having a limited target audiene and people who would read the magazine.
for example Terroizer and fRoots inwhich has only 40'0000 reader ships
On the other hand mainstream is designed to target a collosal number of fans and dosent pin down one specific genre there fore the audience is exreamly widespreasd. Examples of this catagory are Kerrang, NME,
