Their are two different catogories inwhich music magazines fall into, these consist of Niche or Mainstream.
A Niche product is a more of a specific genre of music and its audience is narrowed down to just one fan base this meaning having a limited target audiene and people who would read the magazine.
for example Terroizer and fRoots inwhich has only 40'0000 reader ships
On the other hand mainstream is designed to target a collosal number of fans and dosent pin down one specific genre there fore the audience is exreamly widespreasd. Examples of this catagory are Kerrang, NME,
