Evaluation

During our short film we used various types of shots to capture different meanings. The shot we used most was a master, 2 shot which was suitable as we had many conversations throughout the piece and enabled us to see both actors on scene , it also gives the audience a general feel of the mise en scene and diegetic world our story was set in. We incorporated an establishing of the scene which panned to the left following Adam out of room and then to the right. This allowed us to show the audience the environment and enhance the idea of a dull, inanimate atmosphere which is reflective of our robotic characters. Inserts shots allowed us to connote relevant and important aspects of the narrative and gave the audience an insight into how the film will unravel, we used this when the pen was purposely dropped onto the floor it also contributed to the general flow and allowed action matching to take place. We also used action matching during opening a door followed by a new take with the actor on the other side
